We initially though that this was just another name coming into Cincy and another name going out with "NO" deal. We were really hoping that Williams would be signed and now he is. It seems time and time again that players have never come to Cincy for a visit or they have come and left quicker than the planes fly out of Cincy. This is a good thing, Williams brings veteran leadership and hopefully will find that fire that he had for so many years playing at the Safety position for Zimmer. He will definintely put pressure on our current roster and add depth to a young Defensive Secondary. He definitely is going to add some spunk and maybe some controversy. Williams is known for the league's horse collar rule and still tends to apply that tackle to his opponents. Either way he should bring down some receivers and backs that dare to get into the secondary!
Information on the deal was not released but Williams agent said that he liked Cincy and that he took less money to come. I bet Mike Brown is loving that! Well, Cincy fans should love no matter how the deal went down!!
