On Monday, according to Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post, Richie Incognito was in Cincinnati. Today, Incognito will visit with the Dolphins.
On Sunday, TheSunSentinel.com reported that three teams the Bengals, Dolphins, and Colts were interested in the outrageous Offensive Guard who has been labeled by his peers as the "NFL's Dirtiest Player".
It is likely Incongnito will sign with the Dolphins considering he nearly joined them back in December but the Fins lost out to the Buffalo Bills. The Bills standing in the waiver wire and the fact they stunk last year and were at the bottom of the standings landed the OG in Buffalo.
Incognito has been fined almost six figures worth for his on-field treachery over the past few years. He was drafted in the third round by the St. Louis Rams after a really good combine that left him injured. He was waived on December 15, 2009 two days after committing two 15-yard personal foul penalties and engaging in a verbal confrontation with Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo during a 47-7 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Incognito plays with a nasty mean streak that leads him to many on field alterications and penalties. It would definitely be an interesting pick up. There has been many people preaching "NO WAY" and "NOT WHAT THE BENGALS NEED" but this is the Bengals who have the name of the "Island of Misfit Players". The idea is not unheard of. Yea, the Fins and Colts are looking at him but this is another player that nobody wants (see Cedric Benson, Tank Johnson, Larry Johnson, and others). He would fit in nicely if he could learn to play nicely!! Line him up on one side and sign Bobbie Williams back and put him on the other. That would sure up a line that gave up 56 sacks in the regular season and 5 in the postseason. It is wild to say the least that he stopped into the Bengals before the Dolphins. Not sure or have not been made known if it was just convenience, strategy, or interest just yet.
If the Dolphins do not sign him this week does the Bengals have a shot? Do they want a shot? Do we need some nastiness on the Offensive Line? Do tell....
