Okay, our Bengals have beaten down the Steelers (TWICE), the Ravens (TWICE), Green Bay, destroyed Chicago. Then outside the Denver fluke, struggled to beat the lowly Browns, was trounced by 5-4 Houston, and now fall to Oakland. The Bengals did dominate every aspect of the game but still when it comes to beating the teams THEY SHOULD BEAT, they are struggling. It is like the High School team that beats the better teams but let up and try to coast through the weaker teams.
What gives? It was frustrating to watch and really I am at a loss for words when it comes to a few factors in yesterday's game. I mean Bernard Scott had a career day (21 carries 119 yards; 3 rec for 32 yards), we dominated time of possession, it was our game to win.
Here is what frustrates me, the play calling seemed a bit Tressel like in the second half. Since when in the NFL do you have a team with a slew of weapons continue to pound the ball with the run? I can see in the last five minutes or whatever in the fourth quarter but not early in the third!! With this type of play calling I am surprised Chad Ocho Cinco was not featured with one of his famous tantrums. Seriously, this would be the game, if I was the star receiver, screaming for the ball and yelling at whoever I could.
This is one game, and one game only. And Oakland did beat Philly, so they are a bit of a mystery of a team and they are a much better team with Gradowski at QB and not Russell. But they were the 2-7 Oakland Raiders and we were the 7-2 highly favored Bengals. C'mon win the games your supposed to win!!
I just can't say anymore it was the most frustrating game I have watched in a long time!!
